my journey ....so far

  So it has been almost 7 weeks since being banded.  There have been many "bumps" in the road so far....

  The bad things so far were....I was sick with a head cold 5 days post surgery and then had coxsackie 4 weeks post surgery ( I know I know this is something kids are suppossed to get LOL).  The spot my port was in seemed to take forever and a day to stop hurting.  Within the last 2 weeks all the edema that had resolved post surgery came back and the scale was not moving.

 The good things are.....No more pain from my port, no more being sick WOO-HOO, the scale is now showing my weight loss as I started a diuretic pill for the edema, I have lost 35 pounds in 7 weeks, and last but not least I feel better than I have in a very long time!!

Even when things are not going as I quite hope, they all work out in the end and I can't wait to see where my weight loss journey ends up!!  WHEN I get to my goal (or close) I plan on rewarding myself with a tropical vacation with my fiance!!!   I sooooo can't wait for that day !!

Hi Michele! Congratulations! I guess those bumps in the road are just part of the process. But focusing on the positive always seems to keep things in a healthy perspective. Way to go! With your attitude I think you will be on that tropical isle in NO time! Best wishes, take care.
